Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) —  Gulf Shores Fire Rescue is set to celebrate a major milestone with the official ribbon-cutting for its new fire training facility. The event will be held on the facility grounds at 19600 West 36th Ave in Gulf Shores. The ceremony is open to the public, and refreshments will be provided for all attendees. The new Gulf Shores Fire Training Facility is designed to support comprehensive firefighter education at every level.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, starting at 10 a.m. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP using the Gulf Shores Fire Rescue reservation link by Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The facility features hands-on training environments that simulate structural fires, rescue operations, and advanced emergency response scenarios. Fire Chief Mark Sealy spoke about the significance of the new facility.
