Expect Excellence Brings Rock Hits to the Stage

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — A high-energy rock show is returning to Orange Beach this summer. The Expect Excellence Music Department will perform “Dream On – A Tribute to Classic Rock” for three nights, June 26 through 28, at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center.

The show will feature a new set list of 24 songs, filled with classic rock hits from the 1970s to the 1990s. Organizers say the performance will deliver two hours of nonstop excitement.

Audience members can expect favorites like “Jump” by Van Halen and “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake. Music Director Caleb Pittman said the show will bring back memories of rocking out to these songs on the radio.

A cast of about 40 local performers has been working for weeks to perfect every note. Pittman said the community's musical talent is impressive, and the show is a fun way to celebrate that.

He pointed to Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” as a standout in the lineup. The song’s complex timing and tough instrumentals made it a rewarding challenge for the performers.

Tickets cost only $15 and all seats are general admission. Pittman called it a “low-dough-show” that offers great value and great entertainment.

Tickets are on sale now at the Orange Beach
website. For help with purchases, contact the box office at 251-923-0043 between 3:30 and 6 p.m. on weekdays.

The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 23908 Canal Road, on the east side of the Orange Beach Middle/High School campus.
