Boaters Set To Join The Salty Shuffle Charity Poker Run

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — Boaters from across the Gulf Coast are encouraged to take to the water for a good cause this summer. The Sea Glass Initiative partners with Legendary Marina and Yacht Club, Gulf Shores, and Dockside Guide to host the Salty Shuffle, a family-friendly cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway. Organizers say the event combines community spirit, friendly competition, and fundraising to support efforts to end homelessness in Baldwin County. Whether attendees come for the prizes or the fun, the event promises a memorable day of sun, salt, and excitement.

The Salty Shuffle is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, with the route from Orange Beach to Gulf Shores. The activities will conclude at Legendary Marina, where an after-party is planned from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature live music, food, games, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle for participants and guests.

A special captain and sponsor reception will kick off the weekend on Friday, June 12, at the Legendary Marina and Yacht Club in Gulf Shores. Organizers said the event will give participants a chance to meet and mingle before the main competition on Saturday.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best hand in the boating poker run, with rewards for both first and second place. Participants can also compete for “Best Decorated Boat,” encouraging crews to display creativity and flair with themed designs. Every vessel entry includes a custom event T-shirt and a captain’s swag bag as part of the registration package.

Registration is now open, and space is limited. Each vessel entry costs $100, which includes one T-shirt and a swag bag. Additional players can join for $30 each. “This event is about bringing people together for a great day on the water while supporting those in need in our community,” organizers said. All boat types are welcome to participate.

Proceeds from the Salty Shuffle will directly support the Sea Glass Initiative’s mission to fight homelessness in Baldwin County. Interested participants can
register online through the organization’s event page.
