Baldwin County Sheriff's Office Seeks Public Help In Cold Case Missing Person Investigation
Investigators believe the missing Lillian woman may have traveled to the Pensacola area after vanishing in 2022.
Lillian, Ala. — (OBA) — The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help finding a woman who has been missing for three years. Taylor Elizabeth Gipson, 32, was last known to be living in Lillian, Alabama. Investigators believe she may have traveled to the Pensacola, Florida, area after her disappearance. Because of a cognitive disability, she is considered a missing and endangered person.
Gipson was reported missing in July 2022, and the case has since been classified as a cold case. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is now seeking any information that could help advance the investigation. Investigators believe she may have crossed into Florida after leaving the Lillian area.
Gipson is approximately 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has multiple scars on her face and neck. She has a cognitive brain injury unrelated to her disappearance that affects her judgment and behavior. Investigators say she has also used false names and may try to create or assume a different identity.
Because of her cognitive disability, authorities consider Gipson vulnerable and in a potentially dangerous situation. The sheriff's office has released several photographs of Gipson to help the public identify her. Anyone who may have seen her or knows her whereabouts is urged to come forward.
Cold Case Investigator Cadenhead is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward. People with tips can call 251-972-8589 and select Option 7, or dial 251-937-0202 directly. Even small details could prove valuable in the case.
The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office emphasized that no tip is too small. "Even the smallest detail could be the key to moving this investigation forward," the office said in its public assistance request. Investigators hope renewed public attention will yield new leads.
Anyone who spots a woman matching Gipson's description in the Pensacola, Florida, area or elsewhere is asked to contact the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office immediately. The case remains active and open. Authorities say they are committed to finding Gipson and providing answers to her family.
