Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Yesterday, Chef Brody Olive added another feather to his cap by winning the prestigious Great American Seafood Cook-Off in New Orleans. This annual event, which brings together the nation's best chefs to showcase their culinary skills using domestic seafood, is a testament to the rich diversity and quality of American seafood. The competition was fierce, with chefs from all over the country vying for the coveted title. The winning dish, a stunning creation of a dish featuring gaff-top catfish, accompanied by quickly fried mole crabs, a cream of gulf shrimp with horseradish, pickled purslane, and a smoked paprika coral tuile.


The judges were particularly impressed by Chef Olive's skillful use of local ingredients and his ability to highlight the natural flavors of the seafood. His dish not only showcased his culinary prowess but also his deep respect for the region's seafood industry.
