The city’s summer youth work program hosted a Lunch and Learn at the Orange Beach Community Center. During the event, students enjoyed pizza while learning about money management. The program is designed to mix fun activities with real-world education.

The Lunch and Learn was held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Jill Goddard from Truist Bank led the session and taught students about checking and savings accounts. She explained the importance of building good credit scores for the future.

This is the eighth summer for the city’s youth work program. The program is open to 14- and 15-year-olds and runs throughout the summer. Teens are placed in various city departments to gain hands-on work experience.
