Shorty’s Safe Haven Rodeo Rides into Foley to Aid Local Horse Sanctuary

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — The Shorty’s Safe Haven Rodeo is set to bring two nights of cowboy action and community spirit to Foley. Organizers say the new event will mix traditional rodeo thrills with family activities. Proceeds will support a local horse sanctuary and youth programs. Residents and visitors will find food, vendors, and kid-friendly attractions.

The rodeo will take place at the Foley Horse Arena in Foley, Alabama. Dates are November 7 and November 8. Gates open at 5 p.m. each evening, with the main rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m.

Bo Campbell Rodeo Productions is producing the first-ever event. The company plans a full slate of action to engage both rodeo fans and families. Attendees can expect a festive atmosphere built around local support.

Beyond the arena, the grounds will feature a bounce house and a petting farm. A Little Ranchers area will give younger children a safe place to play. Concessions and a range of vendors will round out the experience. Organizers aim to make the event accessible and family-friendly.

At the heart of the weekend is a cause rooted in the community. Shorty’s Safe Haven is a Foley-based nonprofit horse sanctuary. The organization rescues and provides a lifetime haven for horses. It also runs programs that help at-risk girls ages 10 to 18.

Leaders at the sanctuary focus on healing and empowerment. Their approach centers on bonding with horses and farm animals. Participants learn trust, responsibility, and confidence through care. The ranch setting offers calm and structure for growth.

Supporters say the rodeo is more than entertainment. Each ticket helps feed, shelter, and care for rescued horses. Funds also back mentorship and life skills programming for girls. The goal is to expand services and reach more families.

The choice of Foley Horse Arena connects the event to local roots. The setting offers ample seating and room for activities. Parking and crowd flow are planned with families in mind.

Organizers encourage people to arrive early. Arriving at 5 p.m. lets families enjoy the grounds before the show. Vendors will open as gates open for dinner and snacks. The petting farm and children’s areas are scheduled to run throughout.

Rodeo goers can reach organizers with questions or group plans. Call or text 251-213-9634 for details on tickets and access. Email inquiries can be sent to
shortyssafehavenrodeo@gmail.com. Organizers aim to respond quickly.

As the inaugural year begins, hopes are high for a new tradition. Success would mean steady support for horses in need. It would also grow a safe space for local girls to thrive. The community’s turnout will shape what comes next.

Families looking for a meaningful night out have options here. They can cheer for athletes and support a local mission. Children can explore, learn, and play in supervised areas. The event blends fun, purpose, and small-town pride.
