Foley High School Lockdown Continues

11:55am Update From the Foley High School Principal: At noon, we will begin dismissing Foley High School students. We will dismiss car drivers first, followed by those students whose parents come to check them out. Students are welcome to remain on campus. They will be kept in the cafeteria and provided an opportunity to study. At the conclusion of school, those students who are bus riders will board their bus and depart for their home destination.


If you are coming to pick up your child, please come down Cedar Street along the back of the school and follow the security personnel around the south side of the cafeteria where you will pick up your child and depart out the east front of the school towards Highway 59.

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – Foley High School went into lockdown this morning following a reported incident on campus. The Foley Police Department responded immediately, securing the area and ensuring the safety of all students. As of 10:43am, officials confirmed that the school remains under a security perimeter, but no injuries have been reported. Access to the school is restricted until the lockdown is lifted.


The Foley Police Department, alongside officers from Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, are currently responding to an ongoing situation at Foley High School. The school remains on lockdown as a security perimeter has been established around the area. All departments are actively collaborating to ensure the safety of students and staff. At this time, the lockdown has not been lifted, and authorities are urging the public to stay clear of the area until further notice. 


Foley police are continuing their investigation into the incident and will release more information when available. The department has assured the public that students are safe, and the situation is under control.
