Orange Beach Senior Center Gears Up for Second Annual Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off
Organizers would like to add a few more teams to the event
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach is turning up the heat this fall with its second annual Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off. The community event pits senior-focused organizations against one another in a friendly competition to determine who makes the best chili. The public is invited to come out and cast their vote. Live music and free food will also be part of the evening.
The event is scheduled for October 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at an Orange Beach location. Truman Holland will provide live music throughout the evening. Cheesy Grillers will be on site, offering free grilled cheese sandwiches to attendees.
Eight organizations have signed up to compete in this year's cook-off. The defending champion is Brad Johnson, known as "Trail Boss," representing the City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources Department. Johnson will face stiff competition from seven other entrants.
