New Amenities Now Open At Lillian Recreation Center
Renovations add restrooms, a picnic pavilion, accessible parking, and new sidewalks
Lillian, Ala. — (OBA) — The Baldwin County Commission has completed a renovation of the Lillian Recreation Center on U.S. Highway 98 in Lillian. The upgrades were designed to improve accessibility, safety, and the overall experience for park visitors. The project added several new features that benefit residents of all ages. Officials say the improvements make the facility more inclusive for the surrounding community.
The Baldwin County Commission announced the completion on June 24, 2026. The renovation included the construction of ADA-compliant restrooms for men and women. A timber picnic pavilion for outdoor gatherings was also added to the site.
Additional improvements included expanded ADA-accessible parking at the recreation center. A connected network of new sidewalks was also built as part of the project. The upgrades are intended to create a more user-friendly environment for park visitors.
The Lillian community now has access to a more modern and accessible outdoor space. The new amenities support residents who may have previously faced barriers to using the facility. The ADA-compliant features reflect an effort to ensure the park is welcoming to people with disabilities.
