Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — A popular lunchtime music series is returning to downtown Foley this spring, giving residents and visitors a chance to enjoy live performances during the week. The free concert series, called Midday Melodies, will again be held in Heritage Park. City officials say the event aims to bring people together and showcase downtown Foley's charm. The setting provides a relaxed break where people can listen to music, have lunch, and enjoy the outdoors.

The 2026 edition of Midday Melodies kicks off on Wednesday, March 4, with the first of four free performances scheduled throughout the month. Concerts will take place every Wednesday in March from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Centennial Clock Tower in Heritage Park.

The series is open to the public with no admission charge, and organizers encourage people to relax during the shows. Spectators are welcome to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs and settle on the grass. Many attendees get lunches from Foley’s nearby downtown restaurants, while others pack their own meals from home. Concessions will also be available from the Masonic Lodge during the events.

A lineup of local and regional musicians will offer a variety of sounds over four weeks. The Wiley Pete Duo will kick off the series on March 4. Singer Zack Chavers is scheduled to perform on March 11. Just Roger will take the stage on March 18, followed by Strictly Rivers closing out the month on March 25. Each act will perform during the midday hours as people come and go on their lunch breaks.

City officials say the park setting makes the concerts an easy stop for workers, shoppers, and visitors in downtown Foley. Free parking is available around the perimeter of Heritage Park, which is located at 104 N. McKenzie Street. The park sits just across the pedestrian bridge on Alabama 59, making it a short walk from many nearby shops and offices.
