Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – In the world of beach volleyball, a new star is on the rise. Macey Moore, a sophomore from Gulf Shores High School, has recently made her mark on the national stage with teammate Estelle Reese from Gulf Breeze High School (pictured above). Competing in the 16U AAU National Beach Championships in Santa Monica, California, Moore showcased her exceptional skills and determination, securing a third-place finish in the highly competitive 16U gold bracket.

Macey grew up in Spanish Fort, Alabama on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. She would drive down to Gulf Shores 3 days a week to train with the top beach coach in the Southeast; Eddie Henry from the Pleasure Island Volleyball program. Macey and her family made the move to Gulf Shores last year, so she could train on the beach. At that time, she began attending Gulf Shores High School.

Macey was also selected and trained with the USAV National Beach Training Developmental Program back in May in California, which is a pipeline to train junior athletes who have the potential for Olympic and National programs. From a young age, Macey showed a natural talent for the sport, and her dedication to training and improving has been evident throughout her journey.

The 16U AAU National Beach Championships is a prestigious event that attracts the best young talent from across the country. This year, the competition was fierce, with athletes demonstrating high levels of skill and determination. Despite the challenging competition, Moore's performance was outstanding, earning her a well-deserved third-place finish in the 16U gold bracket.

Moore's achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. Her performance at the championships have not only made her school and community proud but has also put her on the radar as one of the promising young talents in beach volleyball.

As she continues her journey, Moore's future in beach volleyball looks bright. With her talent, determination, and the support of her community, there's no doubt that we'll be hearing more about Macey Moore in the years to come.

Congratulations, Macey, on your remarkable achievement. Your journey is an inspiration to young athletes everywhere, reminding us all that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
