Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – In an effort to bolster their crisis response capabilities, the Gulf Shores Police Department, Gulf Shores Fire Department, and Gulf Shores City Schools are joining forces for a large-scale training exercise. The event, scheduled to run from July 18 to July 20, 2023, is designed to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and assess their collective response to a major crisis scenario.


The Gulf Shores Police Department has meticulously planned this exercise, incorporating nationwide best practices and lessons learned from past crisis events across the country. The goal is to ensure that all participating agencies are thoroughly prepared and capable of efficiently managing any emergency situation that may arise.


Residents and visitors of Gulf Shores can anticipate an increase in activity as first responders and emergency vehicles heighten their presence around Gulf Shores City Schools during the training period.
