Hardback books will be priced at $3 each, and softbacks at $2 each. The Friends group notes that the modest prices are meant to keep books accessible while still raising essential funds. Shoppers often leave with armfuls of novels, biographies, children’s stories, and cookbooks without straining their budgets.
All purchases at the sale benefit the Friends of the Orange Beach Library. The nonprofit organization uses the money to support programs and services that promote reading in the community. Their mission is to strengthen the library as a center for learning and curiosity for residents of all ages.
Organizers stress that the sale depends on the generosity of local book donors. Anyone wishing to contribute gently used books can drop them off at the Orange Beach Public Library at 26267 Canal Road. Donations are accepted in advance so volunteers have time to sort by category and condition.
