Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The 3rd Annual Orange Beach Freedom Festival and Bama Coast Cruisin' Car Show are set to kick off at 9:00am this morning at The Wharf. The event today runs until 5:00pm.


The Bama Coast Cruisin' show will feature vintage and classic cars displayed on Main Street, accompanied by a Kids' Zone situated adjacent to the Ferris wheel. Additionally, military and veteran organizations will occupy Wharf Parkway, offering activities and information, including the U.S. Air Force's Operation Shadow Strike experience.


For today only, Orange Beach police and fire departments will collaborate with military organizations on Wharf Parkway to provide demonstrations. On Saturday, the weekend's offerings will be expanded to include a motorcycle and Jeep rally, featuring a beach cruise at noon. Participants in the Bama Coast Cruisin' event will conclude the day with a parade to the beach in the late afternoon.


Tomorrow, Saturday, October 7th, the festivities will continue from 9:00am and run until 5pm. The existing attractions will be complemented by over 70 arts and crafts and outdoor experience vendor booths located on the Wharf's west side. Food vendors and a music stage will also be present.


The CoastAL/Flora-Bama Music Stage on Saturday will include the following lineup: 


  • 9 a.m.-11 a.m.:  Jesse Duncan 
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.:  Johnny Hayes 
  • 1 p.m.-3 p.m.:  Al & Cathy
  • 3 p.m.-5 p.m.:  Smokey Otis Band 


Parking is available at various lots at The Wharf. A shuttle will also run from Orange Beach Middle / High School parking lot on Saturday only.
