Foley Police Arrest Two Men In Animal Cruelty Investigation
Authorities executed a search warrant after concerns were raised about animal treatment.

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley Police arrested two men on Wednesday for animal cruelty. Several agencies were involved in the investigation. In a statement, the Foley police said the case began after concerns were raised about the treatment of animals in the men’s possession. Officers executed a search warrant as part of the investigation. Authorities say this case remains active.
According to the Foley Police Department, Freddrick Robinson, 40, and Marcus Lamont McMillan, 45, both of Foley, were arrested Wednesday afternoon, January 28. Both men were charged with animal cruelty, a misdemeanor under Alabama law.
With assistance from Baldwin County Animal Control, investigators seized eight dogs from a property connected to the case. Police said the animals were taken into custody to ensure their safety while the investigation continues.
During the investigation, officers determined that photos posted on social media showed different properties located around the Foley area. Police said this discovery expanded the scope of the case and prompted further review of multiple locations.
Foley police said investigators will continue examining the situation as a whole to ensure the safety and welfare of animals in the area. Authorities did not release additional details about the conditions found at the properties.
Police acknowledged strong public concern surrounding the investigation. The department said animal cruelty cases are often complex and require coordination with veterinarians and animal specialists before legal action can be taken.
