Foley Native Brooklyn Pool Saddles Up for Miss Rodeo America

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – Brooklyn Pool, a 20-year-old from Foley, Alabama, is making strides both in and out of the rodeo arena as Miss Rodeo Alabama 2024. Brooklyn, the daughter of Jennifer Parker, Jeff Pool, and Joey Parker, hails from a first-generation farming family that recently ventured into the beef cattle business. She is currently a junior at the University of West Alabama, where she studies Business and Accounting.

Riding horses since childhood, Brooklyn attributes much of her passion for rodeo to the summers spent with her grandmother, who taught her to ride. With extensive experience in the West Alabama Horseman Association, Alabama Open Horseman Association, and the Alabama High School Rodeo Association, she has honed her skills in barrel racing. Her achievements include placing in the top ten at barrel racing events and serving as Student President of the Alabama High School Rodeo Association in 2020 and 2021.

Brooklyn's rodeo journey continued into her college years, where she competed as a member of the Mississippi State University Rodeo Team. She was also crowned Miss Jennifer Claire Moore Rodeo Queen in 2019 and 2020. Today, Brooklyn owns three horses, including a barrel prospect colt, and enjoys outdoor activities such as riding four-wheelers, hunting, and fishing when she’s not competing.

Her platform, “Fight Like a Cowgirl,” honors breast cancer awareness and is inspired by her grandmother, Pat Swann, a breast cancer survivor who instilled valuable life lessons in Brooklyn. The year-long reign as Miss Rodeo Alabama will culminate in December 2024, when she represents the state in the Miss Rodeo America competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, held in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
