Foley Gears Up For Annual Christmas Parade And Snow Event
City Traditions Continue With A Full Day Of Holiday Events And Family Fun

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley is preparing for one of its longest-running traditions as the Foley Kiwanis Club gets ready to host the annual Christmas Parade. The event has been part of the city’s holiday season since 1963 and continues to draw families from across the region. Organizers expect strong attendance again this year as the parade moves through the heart of Foley. Community members are also looking forward to a full day of holiday activities.
This year’s parade begins at 10 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the National Guard Armory on East Violet Avenue. From there, it will travel south along Highway 59 before turning west onto West Verbena Avenue. The route then shifts north on South Oak Street and North Pine Street and continues west on Rose Avenue until it returns to the starting point.
The festive atmosphere will continue immediately after the parade with the Let It Snow celebration at Heritage Park from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Organizers say snowfall is guaranteed for the event no matter what the actual weather forecast predicts. The free gathering is sponsored by the City of Foley and features a marketplace, a Foley High School Band performance, a preview of The Nutcracker, a children’s art village, food vendors, balloon creations, the Whoville Hair Salon and inflatable bounce houses.
Families attending the celebration will also find that the gazebo in Heritage Park serves as a popular backdrop for Christmas photos. Santa is scheduled to appear from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for visitors wanting a holiday picture or moment with him. More details are available at the
Foley Main Street website or by calling the City of Foley at 251-943-1300.
