Flora-Bama Springs Into March With Numerous Events

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Perdido Key’s iconic “Roadhouse”, invites everyone to “do it on the line” with a spring of “Good Times and Good Music”! It’s annual Beach Run/Walk for America’s Warriors 5K and Half Marathon will be held Saturday, March 16th in the sand behind Flora-Bama. 100% of registration fees go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a multi-service non-profit providing aide with college scholarships and educational counseling to the surviving children of American Special Operations personnel killed in the line of duty. This year's race will honor Master Sergeant Jared N. Van Aalst. Donations are $100 for the 1/2 Marathon starting at 7:30 a.m. and $35 for the 5k run/walk beginning at 9 a.m.


St. Patty’s Day, March 17th, features green Bushwackers, Irish food specials along with an eclectic blend of over a dozen artists on six different stages beginning at noon. Performers include Johnny Hayes, Patrick Cross, Al & Cathy, Brooks Johnson, Scott Koehn Project, Brent Varner, Carson Stanford, Midlife Crisis, Brian Hill Duo, Shawn Lackey, Willie Traywick Band, Kyle Wilson, and Smokey Otis Band.


Don't forget to bring the kids for the
Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Fun Day on Saturday, March 30th. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with arts and crafts beginning at 11 a.m., an Easter egg hunt on the beach at 12 p.m. and the Easter bunny skydiving in at 12:30 p.m. This event is free and all ages are welcome with more than 10,000 eggs hidden in the sand for kids to search for and pictures with the bunny after he lands on the beach. Make sure kids bring their own baskets to fill up with all their eggs.


The month ends, Sunday, March 31st, celebrating the true Easter spirit with our Worship on the Water church services out on the sand behind Flora-Bama. Sunrise service begins at 6 a.m. followed by the regularly scheduled 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.
