Burned Vehicles and Stolen Truck Found in Foley Crime
Surveillance footage helped officers identify a suspect quickly

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Police in Foley responded to a call early Monday morning, June 9, after an employee at Sweat Tire on County Road 12 reported damage to the property and vehicles. The call came in around 7:30 a.m. Officers arrived quickly and found multiple signs of criminal activity. Vehicles had been entered unlawfully, and some were burned. Equipment on-site had also been damaged.
Several items were reported stolen, including a pickup truck. Surveillance video and investigative work helped police identify a suspect. Within four days, Foley Police arrested 42-year-old Daniel Kelso of Foley. He faces two Class C felony charges for Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle.
Kelso also faces one Class B felony charge for Theft of Property 1st. The Mobile Police Department helped recover the stolen vehicle. It was found in Mobile. The case remains under investigation.
