Foley Main Street Halloween

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) —  Downtown Foley is getting a Halloween makeover this fall, thanks to Foley Main Street. The organization invites residents and visitors to join "The Prowl," a special edition of its popular Third Thursday event. The evening blends community shopping with a touch of seasonal mystery. Local small businesses are at the heart of the celebration.

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., downtown Foley will open its doors for an evening of exploration. Participants are encouraged to wander the historic district, duck into boutiques, and discover local favorites. The event follows the familiar Third Thursday format but adds a Halloween twist.

The night's centerpiece is the Black Cat Hunt, which also launches on October 15. Using the Downtown Foley Passport, participants earn 50 points for each hidden black cat found throughout the downtown area. Seven cats are hidden in total, and finding all seven earns serious bragging rights and a shot at a big reward.

Anyone who finds all seven cats by midnight on October 31 will be entered in a grand prize drawing. The winner will receive a $100 Downtown Foley Gift Certificate, valid at more than 20 participating downtown businesses. Participating businesses range from cafes and diners to specialty boutiques and service providers. Foley Main Street will announce the winner on social media on Friday, November 6.

Foley Main Street captured the evening's spirit with a simple message: "Whether you've lived here for twenty years or twenty minutes, there is always something new to discover when you take the time to look."

Organizers say The Prowl's deeper goal is to spotlight the small businesses that keep downtown Foley alive. When shoppers participate in the event, they do more than browse—they directly support the local economy. For more information, visit
