Friends of the Arts supports arts education across South Baldwin County

Friends of the Arts Donates to Orange Beach Elementary Music Program

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  Members of the Friends of the Arts Board visited Orange Beach Elementary School to present a $1,000 check to two of its music educators. The funds were awarded to General Music and Choir Director Kimberly Pugh and Music Teacher Taylor Holley. The donation will cover a subscription to MusicplayOnline, an online music education platform. The program offers a comprehensive, sequential curriculum organized by grade level.


The presentation occurred in October 2026 as part of the organization's ongoing efforts to support arts education across South Baldwin County.


MusicplayOnline gives teachers access to more than 10,000 interactive activities, tools, and games. The platform covers singing, movement, rhythm, and instruments. It also allows instructors to create custom lesson plans tailored to their students' needs.


Friends of the Arts is a nonprofit organization that supports the visual and performing arts throughout South Baldwin County. The group funds its mission through program grants, student scholarships, and events such as the annual Orange Beach Festival of Art. Its mission is to foster education, promotion, and appreciation of the arts through programs and events that are entertaining, inspirational, and enduring.


Friends of the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the visual and performing arts and artists along Alabama's Gulf Coast. Membership and volunteer efforts benefit the Coastal Arts Center in Orange Beach and communities across South Baldwin County.
