Every Saturday, the town of Foley hosts Market Day at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen's Market. Why wait for a festival or travel to a neighboring fruit stand for fresh produce when you can find it all in one place? The market offers a delightful array of fresh fruits, local honey, and spicy dips, with each week bringing new delicious options and fresh cuisine. The market is free to attend and has an open, airy atmosphere with plenty of shade and room for a pleasant breeze. You can shop for tasty treats to enjoy on the spot or take home, as well as unique, one-of-a-kind gifts, plants, and beverages. This market focuses on fruits, vegetables, and seafood, capturing the coastal theme that reflects this way of life. Though the sandy beaches and salty air are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Foley and the surrounding towns, the land beyond the island bridge provides fertile soil for locally sourced fruits and vegetables, all sold directly to people like you. Support both emerging and established artist vendors by exploring their unique gift options. With graduation season approaching, gifts for graduates are the talk of the town—be sure to check out the trinkets and charms available to celebrate the significant milestone most tossed their hats to this week. Come hungry and fill your basket with healthy, fresh foods while embracing the simplicity of life, like fishing and gardening.
