Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – On Thursday, September 28th, Zeke's Landing in Orange Beach, will be the epicenter of maritime competition and community spirit as it hosts the Captains Olympics - Fall Season Kick-off Party. The event, scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., invites captains, deckhands, and the general public to partake in an evening of maritime challenges, live music, and special food and drink offerings.


The competition will feature a series of maritime games designed to test the skills and mettle of captains and deckhands. Among the challenges are:

  • Cast Net Challenge: A test of precision and speed, where participants will demonstrate their prowess in cast netting.
  • Louisville Chugger: A unique game that combines strength and skill, requiring contestants to chug a beverage while also displaying their maritime abilities.
  • Hook & Balance: In this challenge, participants must master the art of tying hooks while maintaining their balance.


The event will culminate in a grand finale that promises to be a spectacle of maritime skill and teamwork.


While the games are the main attraction, the event is open to the public, allowing spectators to cheer on their favorite teams. In addition to the maritime challenges, attendees can enjoy live music and take advantage of food and drink specials throughout the evening.


Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the maritime challenges, adding an extra layer of fun to the competition. The event will take place at Zeke’s Landing Marina, 26619 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach, AL 36561.
