Foley at Christmas

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) —  Downtown Foley is gearing up for a full holiday season, and Foley Main Street has a lineup of events to match. The organization invites residents and visitors to take part in a schedule featuring food and drink trails, live music, interactive scavenger hunts, and festive Third Thursday celebrations. November and December will offer something for nearly every age group and interest, from die-hard football fans to holiday shoppers. Local businesses across the historic district are participating in several of the programs.

The fun kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, with the November Third Thursday event, themed "Tinsel and Tailgates." Attendees are welcome to wear their favorite game-day colors and add a touch of holiday sparkle before heading downtown. The Foley Main Street team will be stationed at FEAST, handing out bright orange glow necklaces for strolling along the sidewalks, shops, and restaurants.

Across the street, South Baldwin Social will celebrate its second anniversary that same evening. Live music is planned throughout the historic district, providing a festive backdrop for shoppers and diners as they browse boutiques and grab dinner. The evening brings together football season and holiday spirit in a walkable downtown experience.

Also running throughout November is the Sixth Annual Downtown Foley Turkey Hunt. The community tradition continues through Thanksgiving, with turkeys hidden in photos of participating downtown businesses posted on Facebook and Instagram. Participants can enter daily for a chance to win a share of $1,500 in gift cards donated by local merchants.

Visitors can extend their nights into rewards through the Downtown Foley Passport program. Guests earn passport points by checking in at participating Third Thursday businesses and stops along the Merry and Bright Food and Drink Trail. The trail runs from Nov. 1, 2026, through Jan. 2, 2027, and awards 25 passport points at each downtown stop.

December brings another Third Thursday event on Friday, Dec. 19, 2026, themed "Merry and Bright Downtown." Whether the draw is live music, early holiday shopping, or the interactive trails, Downtown Foley is positioning itself as a destination for community connection and seasonal fun.
