Orange Beach Planning Commission to Review School Area Projects

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – As the year winds down, the Orange Beach Planning Commission will hear two requests in the area of the middle/high school. Two property owners are seeking to replat parcels into one. Another seeks to build an office/service building on a parcel west of the school.

The commission will meet on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.

SPI Properties is looking for site plan approval to build a 4,800-square-foot building at 4400 Money Bayou Drive in an area zoned general business. It is located at the southeast corner of Money Bayou and Mini Lane near the back entrance to the school parking lot.

A couple of streets to the east on William Silver Parkway, U-Own-It Boat & RV Storage and Coastal Storage are asking to replat two lots into one. The parcels are located north of the Orange Beach Sportsplex. This item was deferred from the Nov. 10 meeting.

During the meeting, the commission will also:

  • Consider a replat of two lots in Bear Point into one at 29734 S. Bayshore Drive. This request was also deferred from the Nov. 10 meeting.
  • Hear a request to merge two lots at 26910 Moses Road.
  • Consider a request to subdivide a lot located at 5614 Georgia St. in Bear Point.
