Tournament raises money for Youth-Reach Gulf Coast

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The 4th Annual Joey Jones Celebrity Golf Tournament will take place this Tuesday at Kiva Dunes Resort. The event promises a full day of golf, food, and fellowship for registered participants. Attendees can look forward to meeting professional athletes, coaches, entertainers, and business executives. The event aims to support a good cause while creating a fun experience for everyone involved.


The tournament is set for Tuesday, May 13, at Kiva Dunes Resort, located on the Fort Morgan peninsula. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 11 a.m. Golfers will enjoy the scenic course while helping raise money for a worthy mission.


Kiva Dunes Golf Course, located on the Fort Morgan peninsula in Gulf Shores, is a top-ranked public course known for its scenic beauty and challenging layout. Designed by U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate, the course opened in 1995 and has since earned numerous accolades, including being named the No. 1 public golf course in Alabama by Golf Advisor in 2019. The 7,092-yard, links-style course winds through coastal dunes, wetlands, and natural vegetation, offering golfers a unique and immersive experience. With its strategic bunkering, water hazards, and ever-changing coastal winds, Kiva Dunes provides a memorable round for players of all skill levels.


All proceeds from the event will benefit Youth-Reach Gulf Coast, a local ministry dedicated to helping young men overcome life challenges. Organizers say the tournament grows each year thanks to community support and the participation of well-known celebrity golfers.
