Game Day Fundraiser Returns To Orange Beach With Patriotic Theme

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Game Day will return to Orange Beach this winter as the Orange Beach Garden Club prepares for its 38th Annual Game Day and Salad Luncheon fundraiser. The longtime event is known for combining casual tabletop games with homemade food and friendly competition. Community members gather not only to play, but also to support local programs and projects. Organizers say the fundraiser has become a community tradition that helps keep Orange Beach looking its best while aiding important services.

This year’s Game Day and Salad Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf. The fundraiser will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving guests the opportunity to enjoy games, food, and fellowship for most of the day. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m., allowing players time to settle in and set up their favorite games before the official start.

Tickets for the event cost $35 and are now on sale at two Orange Beach locations. They can be purchased at
The Emporium Gift Shop in the Orange Beach Rouse’s Shopping Center on Beach Road, as well as at the Orange Beach Public Library at 26267 Canal Road. Organizers expect strong interest from regulars who attend every year and from newcomers who want to support local causes.

The 2026 theme is
Red, White, and Bloom, chosen to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Decorations and table settings are expected to reflect a patriotic and floral look, tying together the club’s gardening mission with the national milestone. Guests are encouraged to “grab your favorite game and your friends and join us” for the celebration.

The public is invited to attend, whether they come with a full table of players or join others upon arrival. The salad luncheon and desserts are prepared by club members, who aim to make the buffet a highlight of the day. Door prizes and other giveaways enhance the festive atmosphere, with many guests leaving with more than just memories of their card and board games.

Money raised from Game Day will support a wide range of community needs across Orange Beach. Funds benefit the Orange Beach police and fire departments, local schools, and scholarships for Orange Beach High School students. The event also helps maintain the Backcountry Trail butterfly garden, supports the Orange Beach Wildlife Center, and funds beautification programs and community projects that enhance the city’s appearance year-round.

Organizers say the annual fundraiser is one of the club’s most important efforts to give back. By buying a ticket and spending the day at Game Day, residents and visitors can enjoy a relaxed social outing while helping essential services and local green spaces. For many participants, it has become a must-attend winter tradition that blends neighborly fun with meaningful support for the community.
