Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley police arrested a Gulf Shores man Tuesday afternoon after serving multiple warrants and a search warrant at a residence in the city. Officers say the arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into domestic violence incidents. Authorities identified the suspect as 39-year-old Carson Vance Mahon. Police took him into custody without incident and transported him to the Baldwin County Jail.

The arrest happened on August 12 at about 1:30 p.m. when Foley Police Department officers arrived in the area of Respite Lane to serve the warrants. Officials said the search warrant was connected to an investigation involving multiple domestic violence offenses. Mahon, who was on probation for Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance, now faces a list of serious charges.

Police reported Mahon is charged with Domestic Violence 3rd (Menacing), Domestic Violence 3rd (Harassment), Domestic Violence 3rd (Criminal Mischief 3rd), Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd, and Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm.

Because Mahon has previous convictions for Domestic Violence by Strangulation, his current domestic violence allegations have been upgraded to felony charges under Alabama law. Foley police did not release additional information about the incidents leading to the new charges. The investigation remains active.
