Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Foley Main Street invites local business owners to a new marketing workshop designed to help them attract more customers without significant expenses. The workshop will provide practical strategies and real-world examples, emphasizing creativity and community partnerships. This program supports Foley Main Street’s goal of fostering economic growth and strengthening the local business community.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, at Riviera Utilities in Foley. Two sessions will be available to accommodate participants’ schedules—a morning session from 9 to 11 a.m. with a light breakfast and an afternoon session from 4 to 6 p.m. with snacks.

The workshop, titled Creative Ways to Attract Customers Without a Big Budget, will be led by Lindsay Schumacher, owner and president of L. Schumacher Consulting. Schumacher works with businesses across the Gulf Coast and Southeast to improve branding, marketing strategies, and digital presence.

During the sessions, Schumacher will guide participants through marketing fundamentals, including understanding customer psychology, building stronger brands, and gaining visibility without large advertising expenses. “We’ll look at practical, real-world examples that demonstrate how partnerships, customer advocacy, and clever use of social media can make a big difference,” Schumacher said.

Designed for both new and experienced business owners, the workshop emphasizes practical ideas that attendees can implement immediately. Seating is limited for each session, so early registration is recommended. Registration is free for Foley Main Street supporters. Businesses in downtown Foley that are not current supporters can attend for $15, while non-supporting businesses outside the downtown area can register for $25.

Interested businesses can register online through the Foley Main Street website. Organizers say the workshop is the first in a series of educational sessions planned for spring. Additional workshops are already scheduled for May 5 and June 2, covering more topics to help local businesses improve their marketing and digital presence.
