Organized by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, this event uniquely blends the excitement of football season with the creativity of the region’s most talented culinary teams and enthusiastic local cooks. Whether you’re a die-hard sports fan, passionate foodie, or someone who simply loves community events, this cook-off offers something special for everyone.


The Coastal Tailgate Cook-Off Challenge isn’t your typical food festival—it’s a full-fledged, game-day-inspired showdown. The air will be filled with the aromas of sizzling grills and the buzz of friendly rivalry as teams compete to claim the coveted golden ticket: a spot at the World Food Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s winner will have the honor of representing Coastal Alabama in the fiercely competitive sandwich category at the national level.
