Top Golf Swing Suites and Bowling Lanes to Be a Highlight of Waterville's Attraction Lineup

Gulf Shores, Ala. - (OBA) - Waterville, a popular amusement park in Gulf Shores, AL, has announced the addition of two Top Golf Swing Suites, interactive bowling lanes, and The Lagoon Bar. The Top Golf Swing Suites are equipped with the most advanced golf and interactive multiport simulators, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of virtual games, including Quarterback Challenge, Zombie Dodgeball, Baseball Pitching, Soccer, Hockey Shots, and more. The two simulator bays can accommodate up to eight people each and will be available to rent for social gatherings, including birthday parties, bachelorette/bachelor parties, and corporate meetings.


In addition to the Top Golf Swing Suites, Waterville will be adding two 36-foot interactive bowling lanes. Visitors are invited to submit name suggestions for the lanes through a Facebook competition, with the winner receiving a free season pass to the waterpark and free bowling passes. The Lagoon Bar will also be a new addition, serving alcoholic beverages and a refreshing food menu for visitors to enjoy while relaxing on the newly renovated deck outside the amusement park.


John Turberville, the general manager of Waterville USA, expressed his excitement for the new attractions, which will open in May. He stated, “This will give visitors exciting new attractions that will be open to coincide with our Amusement Park dates.” Ron Powers, President of Topgolf Swing Suite, added, “We are proud to team with Waterville USA to provide a new kind of interactive social experience that will entertain visitors of all ages and skill levels in Gulf Shores.”


With these additions, Waterville USA will continue to offer a wide range of attractions, including a waterpark, two Escape Rooms, the Flowrider, updated go-carts, 36 holes of miniature golf, Fun Depot kiddie rides, and an arcade. The turtles had been accidentally hooked by fishermen off local fishing piers and were treated at the Gulfarium's CARE Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The pedestrian bridge planned in Gulf Shores over the Intracoastal Waterway at East Second Street is still in the design phase, Mayor Robert Craft said following a regular council meeting on May 13. Ryan Shamburger, general manager of Big Beach Brewing and a resident of the neighborhood framed by East Second Street and Canal Road, said several of the residents approached him with questions about the bridge. He asked for an update on the construction.
Foley Police Arrest Suspect in Brother Shooting Case

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – A Foley man was arrested and charged with assault after shooting his brother during an altercation on Monday. According to the Foley Police Department, 28-year-old Deion McMillan was shot in the leg by his brother, Quave McMillan, 31, at their family property on Airport Road.
