Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  The Orange Beach Tennis Center looks brighter after a recent resurfacing project. All eight courts received new paint and striping, and four new on-court cabanas were also installed. These improvements provide local players with an updated place to practice, compete, and spend time outdoors.

The center’s eight lighted hard courts are open seven days a week. Daily operating hours run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The court lights shut off automatically at 10 p.m., providing a clear end time for evening sessions.

The Tennis Center is part of the Orange Beach Recreation Campus. It is paired with the nearby Pickleball Complex, offering residents and visitors options to play both sports at city recreation facilities.

Court access depends on which court a player chooses. Courts 1 and 8 are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions on those courts are limited to two hours when no other players are waiting. Players are asked to shorten their time when demand is high. If other players are waiting to play, those using Courts 1 and 8 should limit their session to 30 minutes. This shorter session allows more players to use the public courts.

Courts 2 through 7 follow a different system. These six courts may be reserved exclusively by City of Orange Beach residents. This reservation option allows eligible residents to schedule court time before arriving at the recreation campus.

Residents can make reservations online through the CourtReserve website. The city’s reservation portal is available on
CourtReserve, where residents can review available times and schedule sessions on Courts 2 through 7.

The resurfacing, new paint, and fresh striping improve the playing areas throughout the Tennis Center. The four cabanas also provide covered on-court spaces. Together, the upgrades refresh a recreation site that remains available throughout the week.

Additional information about court access and the facility is available on the City of Orange Beach
Tennis Center’s webpage. Information about the neighboring courts and related amenities is available on the city’s Pickleball Complex webpage.
