Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The Orange Beach High School softball team is once again proving why they’re a force in Alabama softball. The Makos clinched the 2025 South Regional Championship, earning a spot in the 4A State Tournament. With a proud legacy and high hopes, the team continues its pursuit of a fifth consecutive state title. Their momentum is strong heading into this week’s big games.


The Makos will face the West Blocton Tigers on Wednesday, May 14, at 10:45 a.m. The first-round matchup takes place at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. This venue is home to the AHSAA State Softball Championships. Orange Beach enters the tournament as the Region I qualifier.


Led by a roster of skilled athletes and a dedicated coaching staff, the team is focused and ready. Their “Chasing 5 in ’25” motto reflects their goal to win a fifth straight title. The Makos continue to raise the bar in 4A competition.


Orange Beach has been dominant since its program began, claiming titles each year since 2021. With talent and determination, they’ve built a softball dynasty. Fans across Baldwin County are showing strong support.
