Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach City Schools is inviting parents, staff, and community members to take part in upcoming budget meetings for the 2026 fiscal year. The sessions will provide a detailed overview of how the school system plans to use its funds in the year ahead. Community members will hear information about anticipated revenues, planned expenditures, and priorities for the district.

The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The second will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, immediately following the Work Session, which begins at 4:30 p.m., also in the City Council Chambers. Both meetings are open to the public.

During each session, district leaders will walk through the proposed budget for the new fiscal year. They will discuss how funding will be allocated for various areas pertaining to school operations. These presentations are designed to help the community better understand the school system’s financial priorities.

Superintendent Randy Wilkes and Chief School Financial Officer Matthew Gray will lead the presentations for both meetings. The school board president, Randy McKinney, along with members Dr. Nelson Bauer, Lisa Nix, Shannon Robinson, and Robert Stuart, will also be present for the discussions.
