Orange Beach Caterer Arrested for Credit Card Fraud

Judith Ashley Roberts, also known as Tillie Pan

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Judith Ashley Roberts, also known as Tillie Pan, a local businesswoman in Orange Beach, has been arrested following allegations of significant financial fraud. According to a report by WKRG's Debbie Williams, Orange Beach Police have charged Roberts with multiple counts of fraudulent use of credit cards and theft of property.

Roberts, 55, is accused of unlawfully obtaining over $135,000 from customers through deceptive practices linked to a custom catering business she co-owns in Orange Beach. The police investigation revealed at least three individuals who have fallen victim to these fraudulent activities. In one striking instance, a customer was reportedly charged $60,000 for a purchase that should have only cost $250.

The Orange Beach Police Department (OBPD) stated that they began receiving reports of fraudulent credit card charges, which subsequently led to Roberts becoming a suspect. Following the investigations, she was arrested on Wednesday evening.

Roberts has since been released from the Baldwin County Jail after posting bond. The OBPD continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with further information to contact them at 251-981-9777.
