Foley Planning Commission to Decide on New Projects

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – The Foley Planning Commission will meet in a regular session on May 15 in council chambers at city hall. During the meeting, the commission will discuss:

A request to extend the plan of the Knoll Subdivision located in the planning jurisdiction at the northwest corner of County Road 16 and County Road 65. The parcel is 38.87 acres and is currently vacant and zoned rural residential. Staff will recommend approval of the request.

Approving a request for a replat of two lots in the Woerner subdivision as well as a one-year extension of the subdivision plan located at 194 Aryan Court. Staff will recommend approval of the request.

A plan to build South Foley Paintball located at 8153 State Route 59 and requested by Phillip Kabatt. Located on the highway on the four-acre parcel is a self-storage unit and the back three acres will be used for the paintball play area. Staff will recommend approval.

A request for the resubdivision of Robert’s Acres located south of County Road 26 and east of Weeks Road in the city’s planning jurisdiction. The parcel is currently divided into two lots and staff will recommend approval.

Approving a request for Foley Crosswords subdivision for phase four currently on 14.54 acres and divided into two parcels. It is located west of the Foley Beach Express and south of Miflin Road or County Road 20 and directly south of OWA. Staff will recommend approval.

A request for approval for a minor subdivision for the Weir McKenzie subdivision on 34.09 acres currently divided into four lots west of Miflin Creek Road and south of Miflin Road or County Road 20. Staff will recommend approval.

Mini Golf Planned for Bubba’s Seafood House Property

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — A group of four people is planning a new mini-golf course at the site of longtime Bubba’s Seafood House on beach road. John Pilcher, Jody Pilcher, Mary Pilcher and Emmie Pilcher Flowers are making the request. According to Baldwin County tax records, the group owns six parcels fronting the road east of Fat Daddy’s. They will request changes to a previously submitted site plan.
