Gulf Shores, Ala. - (OBA) - The 50th Annual National Shrimp Festival is set to make waves this year as organizers invite new vendors, artists, and entertainment acts to join the festivities. The event, which had a record-breaking comeback in October 2022 after a two-year hiatus, is now accepting applications for the first time in three years.
This year, the festival is offering a convenient online application process through Eventeny. According to Steve Jones, VP of Special Events for the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with a deluge of applications coming in since the process opened.
Scheduled for October 12-15 in Gulf Shores, the landmark 50th edition of the festival will feature new national sponsors with on-site activations to enhance the attendee experience. Additionally, a special edition poster will be designed by a past poster contest-winning artist, and an online video series featuring stories and memories from residents, committee members, and past festival chairmen will debut this summer.
The festival, which has been a showcase of food, music, and art since 1971, promises to maintain its beloved traditions while introducing fresh elements to celebrate the milestone year. Interested vendors, artists, and entertainment acts can apply and find more information at
