City of Foley Offices to be Closed for Memorial Day
Most offices and services resume Tuesday, May 27
Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Most city offices that don't handle emergencies will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day. This includes Foley City Hall and other municipal buildings. All closed offices will reopen on Tuesday with regular hours. Trash collection will still happen as usual.
Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 26. Recycling pickup will not take place that day, but it will start again on Tuesday, May 27.
The city will begin collecting limbs, yard debris, and bulk items again on Thursday. Residents should expect some delays as crews work to catch up, and all collections will begin at 6 a.m.
The Foley Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 26. The library will reopen with its regular hours on Tuesday, May 27.
The Interpretive Center at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve will be closed Saturday, May 24, and Monday, May 26. Trails at the preserve will be open during each day.
The Foley Welcome Center, Holmes Medical Museum and Foley Railroad Museum will be closed.
The American Legion Chapter 99 will hold a Memorial Day commemoration Monday morning at the Veteran's Memorial at Max Griffin Park on South Alston Street.
