Election Results

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – In the latest electoral showdown in Baldwin County and the State of Alabama, voters cast their ballots in a series of significant races that spanned from the Presidential to Congressional levels, alongside pivotal regional and state constitutional matters. The Republican primary for the U.S. House District 1 saw Barry Moore emerge victorious over Jerry Carl, securing a narrow lead with 51.4% of the votes. In the race for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice, Sarah Stewart defeated Stephen Parker, garnering 61.4% of the vote. The Alabama Public Service Commission President position was clinched by Twinkle Cavanaugh, who won against Robert McCollum with 61.1% of the votes. Local elections also drew attention, with Brenda Ganey winning the Circuit Clerk position for Baldwin County and Andrea Lindsey securing a seat on the Baldwin County Board of Education for District 2. Additionally, State Amendment One, which proposed to simplify the process for local bills to reach House votes, was narrowly defeated.


Yesterday's election involved Presidential, Congressional, Regional  and Alabama's Constitution. Here are the results for Alabama and Baldwin County:
