Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  The Fourth Annual Charter Boat Billfish Tournament is returning to Orange Beach in August. The event brings together licensed charter boats for three days of competition, fellowship, and fishing. The tournament celebrates the tradition, skill, and camaraderie of the area's professional charter fishing fleet. The public will also have the chance to join the festivities on the final day.

The tournament is scheduled for Aug. 26–28, 2026, in Orange Beach, Alabama. Zeke's Landing Marina, located at 26619 Perdido Beach Blvd., will host the event. The tournament will benefit the Orange Beach Fishing Association Compassion Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Orange Beach Fishing Association Compassion Fund supports members of the Alabama charter fishing community and their families in times of need. Organizers said the fundraiser is an important part of the annual event and helps provide assistance when unexpected hardships arise.

Competition is limited to licensed charter boats. Organizers said the tournament is designed specifically for professional charter captains and crews. The event recognizes the experience and dedication of those who make their living on the water while encouraging friendly competition.

Activities begin Wednesday, Aug. 26, with the captain's meeting at 9 a.m. The official shotgun start is set for noon at Perdido Pass. Participating boats will begin pursuing billfish as the tournament gets underway.

The tournament concludes on Friday, Aug. 28, with the public weigh-in at Mo Fishin Bar at Zeke's Landing. The weigh-in runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Organizers expect spectators to gather to watch the day's catches be weighed.

All participating vessels must return under the Perdido Pass Bridge by 7 p.m. to remain eligible. Once the weigh-in is complete, the awards ceremony will follow immediately. Winners will be recognized for their tournament performances before the event concludes.

Live music is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the weigh-in celebration. Visitors are also invited to enjoy food and drink specials throughout the evening. Organizers encourage residents and visitors alike to attend the public celebration and experience one of the Gulf Coast's signature fishing events.
