Springhill Suites by Marriott in Orange Beach

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The Gulf Coast added a new addition to its hospitality scene with the opening of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Managed by Vista Host and developed by Eliot and Stuart Cohen of Cohen Investments, the 120-suite property aims to blend coastal charm, comfort, and community-focused values. The hotel captures the relaxed beauty of Alabama’s beaches while giving travelers space to unwind and connect. Visitors can expect thoughtful design, modern amenities, and a strong sense of place inspired by the area’s coastal lifestyle.

The new hotel officially opened on January 12, 2026, at 24224 Ruby Lane in Orange Beach. It operates under the Marriott brand and is located near the area’s dining, white-sand beaches, and outdoor attractions. Guests will find an experience tailored for both leisure and business travelers seeking relaxation and convenience along the Gulf Coast.

“This opening represents everything we value as a company,” said Evan Studer, CEO of Vista Host. “Working alongside Cohen Investments, we set out to create a hotel that reflects the beauty of the coast while giving back to the community that makes Orange Beach so special,” Studer added that each element—from the Salt & Sips bistro to the hotel’s conservation giveback—was designed with purpose.

Inside, SpringHill Suites features spacious layouts that include living, working, and sleeping areas, making each suite larger than traditional hotel rooms. Soft linens, plush bedding, and a comfortable sofa sleeper create a relaxed atmosphere ideal for families, extended stays, or beachgoers looking to recharge.

The hotel’s public areas feature a bright, calming design, with open layouts that lead to shared spaces. Outside, guests can enjoy a resort-style pool surrounded by sunlit seating, ideal for downtime and social gatherings. The poolside bistro, Salt & Sips, offers cocktails and light snacks, including its signature drink, The Fred—a Paloma-inspired cocktail that helps fund local coastal conservation efforts through a portion of its proceeds.

For business or events, the hotel includes The Blue Heron Room, a 1,080-square-foot meeting space designed for small gatherings. Guests also enjoy daily complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi access, a 24/7 Market, and a modern fitness center to support an active stay. Laundry facilities are available for longer visits.

Vista Host said that Matthew Sutherland will serve as the hotel's General Manager, drawing on more than 20 years of hospitality experience. Cole Walker will be theSales Manager, joining the team from Visit Nashville.
