Foley, Ala. — (OBA) —  The Foley Public Works Department and the Sanitation and Engineering Department will briefly close their offices as staff relocate to new locations. This closure will last for one day while preparations are completed. City officials have stated that services will continue during the transition. This move is part of the plan to establish a new public works campus.

The offices will be closed to the public on Friday, April 24, as departments prepare for relocation. Sanitation routes will continue to operate on their normal schedules during that time. Residents can still reach staff by phone or email.

Callers may leave voicemails at department telephone numbers, and the Public Works Department will monitor emails sent to foleypws@cityoffoley.org. Officials said staff will respond to messages as quickly as possible during the transition period.

Public Works and Sanitation offices will reopen on Monday, April 27, at a new location, 508 E. Section Ave., Suite 100, in Foley. The Engineering Department will also reopen at the same address, Suite 200.

The offices will be part of the Foley Public Works campus, now under construction near the intersection of East Section Avenue and North Poplar Street. The facility is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
