Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Tickets are now on sale for a Southern comedy, "The Red Velvet Cake War." The play follows a Texas family in a funny contest to make the best red velvet cake. The event will take place at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center's Black Box Theatre.
The play was written by playwrights Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. These writers are among the most produced playwrights by community theaters in the United States. The play was first performed by Hill Country Community Theatre (HCCT) from April 26 to May 13, 2018, according to a source from CTX Live Theatre.
The comedy centers on three cousins who try to host a family reunion. The plot takes a hilarious turn involving a high-stakes bet on who can bake the best red velvet cake. The play has been described as a fast-paced uproarious romp that creates nonstop laughter from beginning to end.
