Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Orange Beach students and families are invited to a special night celebrating creativity and performance. The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center will host the school’s Fine Arts Night, featuring student talent in music, theater, and visual arts. The event is open to the public and showcases the work of students from all grade levels. It promises an evening full of inspiration and community spirit.


Fine Arts Night takes place on Thursday, May 8th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, located at 23908 Canal Road in Orange Beach.


Performances will include the Orange Beach Middle High School Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band, OBMHS Theater, and the Orange Beach Elementary School Choir. Guests will also enjoy a K–12 art exhibit, which opens at 5:30 p.m.


Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to attend and support the students and the arts. The event highlights the hard work of local students and the importance of the arts in education.

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Sunny 105.7 hosted its first-ever “Heroes of the Gulf Coast” event to celebrate everyday people who showed courage and compassion during times of crisis. The event honored seven individuals from the community. These heroes included police, firefighters, doctors, and citizens. Each showed selflessness and bravery that made a real difference.
New Turf and Lighting Planned for Orange Beach Sportsplex

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Orange Beach will consider awarding a bid for installation of new lights on the baseball and softball fields at the Sportsplex. This will be in addition to new turf on both of those fields as well as the soccer/football stadium at the complex. The turf fields were added in 2023. The first artificial turf went in at the softball field, followed by the baseball field.

Free Help for Stray Cats Available in Baldwin County

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – Safe Harbor Animal Coalition is offering free spay and neuter clinics for stray cats in Baldwin County. These clinics are only for unowned cats that people are caring for and plan to continue supporting. The service is not available for personal pets. All cats must arrive in secure carriers or covered traps.

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Alabama's top chefs will soon compete in a high-stakes cooking battle using Gulf seafood. The Alabama Seafood Cook-Off is marking its tenth year with a special celebration. Four chef teams will create dishes using both seafood and local farm ingredients. Sweet Grown Alabama is organizing the event this year.
