Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) —  A woman from Oklahoma died after falling from a moving vehicle in Gulf Shores, and police are continuing to investigate. Officers said the woman was a passenger when the incident occurred. Emergency responders found her with life-threatening injuries shortly after. Investigators are now asking the public to help them gather more information.

The incident occurred on June 25, 2026. At about 1 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the 2000 block of Gulf Shores Parkway after receiving a report of an injured person.

When emergency crews arrived, they found 39-year-old Jaclyn Marie Chapman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with serious injuries. She was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital for emergency care.

According to the Gulf Shores Police Department, officers determined that Chapman's injuries occurred only minutes earlier in the 11000 block of West Fort Morgan Road. Investigators said she fell from a moving vehicle while riding as a passenger.

Despite lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, Chapman later died of her injuries.

Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains active as detectives continue working to determine exactly what happened.
