(OBA®) - Orange Beach, AL - Monday night, November 2nd, will be busy at the Orange Beach Community Center as the Mayor and City Council will be sworn in at 5 p.m. for the next four-year term with an organizational meeting.
A regular council meeting and Committee of the Whole follows and then the Orange Beach Community Association will honor our first-responders at the November Community Potluck, beginning around 6 p.m. An officer from the Police and Fire Department will be honored on this night for their outstanding works.
The Community Potluck is open to anyone. It is requested anyone attending bring a side dish or dessert. This month’s entrée is fried chicken. Dues for the 2020-2021 year will be collected during the meeting.
Yearly dues are $25 for a family of four, $13 for an individual and $5 for three-month snowbird memberships. Meetings do not occur June, July and August as many are busy with vacationing and family events.
Council meetings for the remainder of the year will be held at the Community Center in order to provide the public with more room for social distancing. Those in attendance will need to wear a mask. The meeting will also be streamed live on the city's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/orangebeach.
