Police Investigating Orange Beach Home Invasion and Stolen Vehicle

Orange Beach, Ala. - (OBA) - In the early hours of March 24, a home invasion took place in the 28000 block of Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to a report filed with the Orange Beach Police. An unknown white male, believed to be between 5'5" and 5'10" tall and in his mid-30s to early 40s, broke into a local resident's home. The suspect was reportedly wearing a blue hoodie, beanie, and camouflage mask at the time of the incident.


The victim stated that he was physically restrained while the intruder stole various items from his home. The suspect then proceeded to steal the victim's 2014 Burgundy Chevrolet Silverado LTZ, which had an Alabama license plate with the number 5A001AC. The vehicle was last spotted in the Loxley area around 3:15 am.


Orange Beach Police are actively investigating the case and seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspect and recovering the stolen vehicle.


Anyone with information regarding the home invasion or the whereabouts of the stolen Chevrolet Silverado is encouraged to contact the authorities and call OBPD at 251-981-9777.

A tragic traffic incident claimed the life of a driver in Gulf Shores early this morning. The accident occurred around 1:24 AM near Tacky Jacks, at the intersection of East Canal Drive and East Second Street. Authorities reported that the vehicle was heading west on East Canal Drive when it breached the guard rail and plunged into the water below. The driver was declared deceased at the scene.
