Partnership with Competition Archery Media puts Foley event in the spotlight

Foley, Ala. - (OBA) - The Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am returned to Foley yesterday for its eighth consecutive year, now with a growing partnership with Competition Archery Media (CAM). As the first stop on the Delta McKenzie Archery Shooters Association (ASA) Pro/Am Tour, the Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am has established itself as a leading event, drawing archers from all over the world.

According to Ken White, ASA VP of Marketing, the event in Foley tends to have a higher participation average than any other Pro/Am event. He said, “Foley will welcome archers from all over the United States and our international archers will fly in from Denmark, England, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Italy, and Japan.” The event attracts archers eager to compete and kick off the archery season.

The partnership with CAM has allowed the event to expand its reach through live streaming on social media platforms and the Sportsman Channel. The live coverage on the Sportsman's Channel in 2022 received 526,050 total minutes viewed, while social media numbers only added to that. Josh Grine, ASA Co-Owner and CAM General Manager, commented that the timing of the Foley event, with shorter days and colder weather, results in higher viewership across all media channels.

David Thompson, Foley Leisure Services Executive Director, said that the event's growing exposure to audiences around the world is truly at the heart of why they developed sports tourism in the first place. He added, “Our continued partnership with ASA, and now CAM, has allowed us to amplify that message on an incredible scale. We know this kind of spotlight will have an impact on tourism and allow us to show the world just what adventures await here in Foley.”

The Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am is taking place in Foley from February 23-27.
