Foley Presents Annual Beautification Awards To Three Local Businesses

The annual recognition program encourages property owners to invest in the look and feel of Foley.

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Three Foley businesses earned recognition this month for efforts to enhance the city's appearance. The City of Foley presented its annual Beautification Awards to a trio of local companies, with honorees selected by the Foley Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board. The awards honor businesses and property owners who make an extra effort to improve the appearance of their properties and surrounding areas.

The Beautification Awards were presented to Blossman Gas on North McKenzie Street, Grounded Energy on West Myrtle Avenue, and Centennial Bank on South McKenzie Street. On Wednesday, Aug. 12, plaques recognizing each business as a Foley Beautification Award winner were presented at each location.

Mayor Ralph Hellmich praised the winning businesses for their commitment to the community. "Once a year, the Beautification Committee works with businesses that go above and beyond to beautify their businesses and grounds, and to make things better not only for themselves but for everyone around them," Hellmich said. "We appreciate that."

The Foley City Council also honored the three award recipients with proclamations at a recent council meeting. The annual Beautification Awards are part of the city's ongoing efforts to encourage businesses and property owners to invest in the community's appearance and vitality.
